PMV Professional Body Language
Professional body language is paramount for security guards. Specific general behaviors, interpersonal skills, costume and ethics of PMV guards are critical for communication. One of the PMV professional security styles is our appearance. We simply live and breath security professionalism in every aspect of how we operate. Training is everything when it comes to performance.
* Standing posture during observation:
When you stand during observation, your feet are as open as your shoulder width with tiptoes forward. Body weight presses upon your feet. Your hands are behind your back and one hand holds the wrist of the other hand above your belt. Your back and head are straight and your eyes are straight to observation direction (see figure below).
* Standing posture during taking notes
Take notes, supervise good, workers or similar duties. Hold notebook or materials center to the body when standing.
Holding the notebook, you’re allowed to hold the notebook in the easiest way, but avoid breaking or crumpling it (see figure below).
* Sitting posture during working:
You sit uprightly with your feet open, your back straight and your eyes straight ahead. Your hands are put on the table or on your thighs. However, you do this only if not taking notes. You’re not permitted to put your feet on the chair, take off your shoes, shake your feet or thighs, raise your neck back, put your head down or sit with your chin in your hand.
If your sitting posture is wrong, you lose points in the eyes of others. Incorrect sitting posture not only makes you sleepy, sluggish and exhausted, but also affects your health.
*Notes:
You should remember that you symbolize for the face of PMV security and it’s customers. You perform and maintain security regulations, so everyone will follow such regulations by taking you as a model. Therefore, you must keep your image in the eyes of everybody. This image is reflected by your postures such as walking, standing, sitting, etc. as detailed in the PMV professional security styles.
