PMV Security is the Brand Name of PMV Security Services Company Limited. Many people think that PMV stands for “Phát Minh Vượng” (English meaning: Prosperous Innovation). Others think it is an abbreviation of Mr. “Phạm Minh Việt”, the founder’s name. But in reality, it is not. PMV Security is a very meaningful name.

The establishment of PMV Security

People say “Profession chooses the person,” which is true for the establishment of PMV. The story of the company’s history is closely tied to a love for the profession. THE FOUNDER’S PASSION AND ENTHUSIASM

The founder of the PMV Security is Mr. Phạm Minh Việt. He is an officer of the 144th Brigade, also known as the Steel Guard Brigade. He and his unit provide daily protection for the Central Office, Ministry of Defense. They protect the Residence of the President and key leaders of the Party, State, and Ministry of Defense. With his professional talent, he is often trusted to be assigned to protect various types of security sites.

Being from a guard

In 1995, the first security services company appeared in Vietnam, which was Thang Long-Sepre Company (a joint venture between the Ministry of Public Security and Sepre Company of Japan). This was followed by the establishment of Long Hai Security Company, founded by Major General Phan Van Xoan. Upon observing the bustling world of private security guards, he came to the realization that he was in a proverbial cage, unable to spread his wings and pursue his own endeavors. In 1999, after serving as a close protection officer for 7 years, he requested discharge from the military to pursue a career in security services. He joined Hoang Gia Security Company (now Toshok).

After experiencing various positions in the security services industry, from being a frontline guard to a Team Leader, Department Head, and Branch Director, in 2007, he conceived the idea of establishing his own security services company to leverage the experiences, qualities, and ideas he possessed.

BRAND NAME OF PMV SECURITY

In 2007, around 500 security service companies emerged in Vietnam. However, many of these companies operated without any professional model. They usually operated based on supply and demand. The idea of having a truly professional security brand needed to be formed.

Therefore, Police Military Vietnam (Công An, Quân Đội, Việt Nam) was formed within the PMV Security brand. PMV Registration for the brand name of PMV Security 

The initial application for registration was submitted as ‘PMV Security Services Company Limited‘. However, it was rejected because pursuant to the Law on enterprises issued in 2005, it stipulates that company names must have meanings in Vietnamese. Therefore, the name ‘Phát Minh Vượng’ was replaced to give birth to the PMV Security brand. On March 6th, 2008, Phát Minh Vượng Security Services Company Limited was officially established. The registration number at that time was 4702003489, which was later changed to 3600984872 to match the tax identification number. The history of PMV Security begins from this point.
