Parking Security Requirements (PSR) Audit
Parking Security Requirements (PSR) Audit stems from the inevitable need for security standards applied to parking operations. This can be Parking Place Operators that you commonly see at retail malls, public parking, facilities with large employee count like manufacturing facilities or organizations that have several company vehicles on-site. This builds on the already existing certification Trucking Security Requirements (TSR) . If you haven’t looked there it is recommended to check out the link below. Risk of theft or loss increases significantly the longer product or property is stored waiting for the next destination in the supply chain. The Transported Asset Protection Agency or TAPA created several standards by which organizations can implement to assist in protecting transportation and fixed structures like facilities, staging areas, or storage depots.
TAPA PSR standards address the security concerns for vehicle parking operations. It normally recommended to target your vehicles with the TSR certification as that deals with the initial requirements in reference to trucking and then proceed with PSR. There are a series of certifications via TAPA, check out the other audit certifications we can provide as well.
Why I need this certification?
We all know security isn’t high on the radar when discussing budgets for example a furniture manufacturer. We understand that spending additional budget to meet a certification that isn’t really required to do business can be frustrating. Often times organizations don’t change security protocols until it’s too late, and a security incident has already occurred.
This certification is typically meant for already existing certification holders of the TSR certification, exceed the current requirements, or at least meet the minimum standard TSR requirements.
What can you provide?
We will walk you through every step of the process, providing you a comprehensive audit addressing any deficiencies that are discovered during the process and we will work with you on the steps that need to be taken to mitigate that deficiency.
The PSR outlines the processes and specifications for Suppliers to attain TAPA compliance to the PSR for vehicle parking and other parking 0perations It is the intention of TAPA members to select suppliers which meet or exceed TAPA PSR compliance requirements. Successful implementation of the PSR is dependent upon suppliers and buyers working in concert to accurately interpret, adopt and audit against these requirements.
