About PMV

In the 1990s and early 2000s a lack stable infrastructure left international businesses hesitant to enter the Vietnam market and local businesses struggled to provide basic services. Criminal activity thrived in the chaos as those without jobs and education struggled to obtain something of value to cover even their most basic necessities. PMV Security Group entered the market in mid-2008 with the intent to fill that gap that allowed criminal activity to thrive. With the infrastructure being so unstable at the time, hard working people that were law abiding citizens were left to fend for themselves as they struggled to build a future for their families.

The Beginning

PMV Security consistently spread across the districts of Ho Chi Minh city gaining more clients. At the same time a trend was emerging of poor quality security companies looking to collect quick profits from exploited customers with the promise of providing a security service. PMV Security emphasized client protection and satisfaction above exploiting low skilled workers and swindling clients of their security budgets for subpar service.

We strived to change the perception of what security is and how it’s used to protect the people. Many competitors only saw quick profits in the short term with no concern over the long term effects of negligible service .  With it’s founder, Pham Minh Viet having renowned training and elite experience as an officer in the Special Protection Unit (SPU), 144th Brigade in Vietnam People’s Army; he possessed the knowledge and experience to lay the framework for the security services PMV is known for today.

In the 2010s, PMV Security began seeking recruitment of top international talent from government agencies, military, and security contractors to oversee some of the more specialized security services that require special knowledge such as covert security officers, corporate investigations, VIP Protection bodyguards etc.

Today

Fast forward to today, PMV Security has continually enhanced our existing services and with a strong emphasis on research & development to stay one step ahead of emerging threats. We are constantly pushing the envelope on security techniques, practices, and technology used to provide security services. Pushing the envelope of what security is can be risky from a business perspective but we believe it is much more risky to continue to provide the same security service process and allow attackers to evolve and exploit a client because we failed to evolve our security.
