Security personnel often work in high-risk environments where their safety can be compromised. To mitigate potential threats, security personnel rely on a variety of tools, one of which is their firearm. Security firearms are designed to provide protection and defense in situations where physical force may be necessary. Whether you are a seasoned security professional or new to the field, understanding the importance of choosing and using the right firearm could make all the difference in keeping yourself and others safe.
WHAT ARE PMV SECURITY’S BODYGUARDS EQUIPED?
One common type of security firearm is a traumatic pistol. These are the firearms designed to be legally used in situations where non-lethal force is required, such as self-defense or crowd control. These pistols typically fire blank cartridges that are specially designed to produce a loud noise and a bright flash, which can be used to stun or disorient an attacker. While not designed to inflict serious injury or death, can still pose a risk if not used properly. In this article, we will take a closer look at some typical kinds of traumatic pistols, exploring their features, capabilities, and intended uses.
Currently, at PMV Security, all the security personnel, specifically bodyguards, are equipped with two kinds of security firearms Fort 10-R and Röhm RG 88.

Fort-10R is a type of pistol produced by Fort, a Ukrainian company that specializes in manufacturing security firearms for law enforcement agencies. Due to its efficiency and user-friendliness, police and security personnel worldwide frequently use this firearm. It is often.referred to as a “traumatic pistol,” but it’s important to note that this term refers to the non-lethal capabilities of the weapon. Therefore, using Fort-10R to intentionally harm others is.not recommended.
Design and construction
The design of the Fort 10-R prioritizes reliability and durability. It features a blowback-operated trigger mechanism that allows for quick and efficient firing of 9mm P.A. blank cartridges. The plastic frame of the weapon is.reinforced with steel inserts and completely eliminates contact with the moving parts of the weapon during the shooting process, that is, it experiences minimal distributed loads, and this, in turn, makes the life of the traumatic gun the same as for all-steel model. Additionally, the gun is lightweight, with a frame that blends polymer and steel to make it strong yet easy to handle. Fort 10-R also has an ergonomic design, making it comfortable to hold during extended use.
Versatility and Safety
One of the key features of Fort 10-R is its versatility. It is suitable for various non-lethal purposes, including training and as a crowd control tool. Law enforcement personnel can use it to suppress riots while preventing significant harm to the crowd.

Röhm RG88 is a compact blank-firing pistol designed for signaling and self-defense purposes.
It uses 9mm P.A.K. blank cartridges, which is the same as Fort-10R.
Design and construction
The Rohm RG88 features single and double-action capabilities, with an exposed hammer and a water-safety with decocking function. The pistol fires 9mm P.A. blank cartridges and is designed to replicate the look and feel of a real firearm, without lethal functionality. Furthermore, its plastic grips and small size make it compact and easy to handle.
However, it is worth noting that many countries regulate the use of blank guns, including the Röhm RG 88. Therefore, individuals who own or use them should always follow local laws and regulations.
Versatility and Safety
The Röhm RG88 pistol is a versatile weapon that provides different magazine options, making it suitable for signaling and self-defense purposes. People commonly use it as a blank firing gun for signaling, and training, and as a replica for film and theater productions. It’s small and compact, but has plenty to offer: The 9 mm P.A.K. Röhm RG88 blank firing pistol has both single and double action and features an ejection port at the side. Made in Germany, it fires gas ammunition, pepper ammunition, and blank cartridges – perfect for self-defense. In spite of its small size, this pistol is very effective thanks to its large caliber. However,
The RG88 really comes into its own on New Year’s Eve when you attach the corresponding fireworks adapter and discharge standard 15 mm pyrotechnic ammo into the night sky. Therefore, it is important to note that a qualified professional should provide appropriate safety precautions and training when using any firearm, including the RG88.
