The security guard employment contract is a labor contract that protects the rights and benefits of employees working in any security service company. When security personnel join a company, they will be required to sign a security guard employment contract. This contract serves two purposes: first, it ensures the welfare of security personnel and their rights; second, it promotes awareness and responsibility of individuals when applying for the job.
General regulation of a security guard employment contract
The general regulation on labor contracts is referenced in Article 13 of the Labor Code 2019, which defines the concept of a labor contract. A labor contract is an agreement between the employee and the employer regarding paid work, wages, working conditions, rights, and obligations of each party in a labor relationship. If the two parties agree on a different name for the contract but its content indicates paid work, wages, and the management, operation, and supervision of either party, it will be considered a labor contract. The labor contract can be understood as an agreement between two parties:
- The employer, who is responsible for paying wages and ensuring working conditions for the employee.
- The employee, who is responsible for fulfilling their rights and obligations as agreed upon in the labor contract.
Even if a contract is called by a different name, but it includes content indicating payment of wages and the employer’s management, supervision, and operation, it can still be considered a labor contract.
Principles and forms of a security guard employment contract
The principles of a labor contract include voluntary agreement, equality, goodwill, cooperation, and honesty. Based on these principles, the labor contract is in accordance with the law, the collective labor agreements, and social morality.
The form of the labor contract must be in writing. Two copies must be made, with each party holding one copy.

According to Article 20, Section 1 of the Labor Code 2019, with amendments and supplements.implemented since 2021, there are two types of contracts:

Indefinite-term labor contracts: contracts in which the parties do not specify the term or the end date.

Contracts applied at PMV Security
At PMV, when a security personnel is.recruited,.they are.required to sign a security guard employment contract that is in accordance with the existing labor laws and regulations to ensure their rights and benefits. The contract is an agreement between PMV and the employee, the security personnel. According to the contract, PMV is responsible for paying wages, managing and supervising the security personnel. The contract also specifies that the security personnel have the responsibility to protect and ensure the safety of the assigned targets and comply with all PMV’s regulations, procedures, laws, and standards.
There are currently two types of security guard employment contracts at PMV and employees may choose which contract suits their needs.

Indefinite-term contract
This is a common type of contract at PMV. In this type of labor contract, the agreement between PMV and the security personnel does involve a specific end date.
When an employee wishes to resign, they must submit a resignation letter to their immediate supervisor. Therefore, if the target they are.assigned to has a team leader,.the letter should be.sent to the team leader. If there is no team leader, or if the security personnel submitting the resignation is the team leader, the letter should be.sent to the area commander. Then, these officials will then forward the letter to the company for processing. Therefore,

Definite-term employment contract
This type of contract is often chosen.by many security personnel when signing a contract at PMV. This contract will have a specific end date. However, the termination date for this contract is no more than 36 months from the date of signing and taking effect. However,
The procedure for resigning is similar to that of an indefinite-term contract. However, you only need to submit a notice 30 days in advance,.counting from the date you submit the notice to the date you request to resign.
