Corporate investigations are official investigations initiated and carried out by an internal team within an organization or contracted by a 3rd party due to lack of internal resources or conflict of interest concerns. There are several reasons an organizations would want to conduct a corporate investigation and not all companies need to initiate the same investigations. Workplace policy violations are one of the more common practices that most companies associate corporate investigations with. Human resources may need evidence preserved or written statements by witnesses to make legal decisions especially if civil courts are to be involved at a later date. How does it work?
Your organization with be assigned a case handler who will be the main point of contact for your staff. They will assess the situation, gathering intelligence. Once all relevant facts and intelligence have been gathered our investigators assess the situation with a risk matrix evaluation. This is to determine the level risk not just for your organization but also PMV Security. The investigators will then work your organization to develop an investigative plan based off the risk matrix and all intelligence gathered during the initial response. The investigation will commence and investigators will begin progressing with actiity based on the investigative plan.
Once a conclusion has been reached meaning once enough evidence has been gathered an assessment will be made on the viability of the investigation. Legal opinions will be provided on the next course of actions if there are civil or criminal proceedings that must occur.
