In any professional field, a contract is always one of the most important factors, which shows the legal agreement between the employer and employee. In security services, it’s called “security employment contract“.
According to Clause 1, Article 35, Vietnam Consitution issued in 2013, it promulgates that: “Citizens have the right to work and to choose their occupations, employment and workplaces”. As a citizen of the S-shaped country, people are all equally treated with the right to decide their career path. When it comes to employment, there must be agreements from both sides regarding the issues such as salary, remuneration, insurance, duties, etc. That’s why employees need a security employment contract.
According to Clause 1, Article 20, Labor Code issued in 2019, labor contracts are classified into 2 types:
1. Indefinite-term labor contract, which is a contract in which the two parties do not determine its term and time of termination;
2. Definite-term labor contract, which is a contract in which the two parties determine its term and time of termination within 36 months from the date the contract takes effect.
Depending on each professional field and occupation, the employer will agree and sign the appropriate type of contract. The contract will take effect after signing unless otherwise agreed. Coming to PMV, applicants will have a better understanding of contract types, as well as a better understanding of the company.
To get more details about the contract or other articles, please see the Labor Code for reference.
Signing a security employment contract
As mentioned above, each professional field has its own requirements. Therefore, the contents specified in the contract will vary depending on the characteristics and requirements of each professional field.
Some points you should consider when signing a security employment contract:
- Prepare a smartphone. Use your initiative to learn about the current Labor Code. This helps employees avoid making mistakes as well as get to know more about their benefits.
- Do some research on the company you’re about to go to for an interview. Select the public and trusted information. If you feel worried, try asking your family members for help.
- Read all the articles in the contract carefully, especially the security site to which you may be assigned, or your rights and responsibilities. Don’t hesitate to ask the interviewer about the articles that you feel unsure about. Bear in mind that: once you sign the contract, there’s no way to fix it. Don’t rush to sign the contract without consideration.
- Ask about the documents that the HR department requires.
How will PMV protect its employees as specified in the contract?
PMV considers human resources as the top priority. Besides improving the services’ quality, we also try our best to create a dynamic working for the office workers, as well as ensure the policies and remunerations for the security guards as agreed in the security employment contract.
- First, we provide stable jobs for workers.
- Second, we protect the right of employees to get an agreed-upon salary.
- Third, protect the employees in entering into the labor contracts.
- Fourth, protect the employees in the performance of labor contracts.
- Fifth, protect the employees in the modification, supplementation, and termination of labor contracts.
- All of the above, we make sure that our services strictly comply with the current Labor Code.
What if the employees are female?
Few people are really concerned about this situation. Because everyone thinks this is a job that “only men can do”. It’s so wrong. We’re living in an equal society. If men can do it, women can do it too. Sometimes there are things that men can’t do as well as women.
Law is for both men and women. There is a whole chapter for women in the law code. According to the law, employers must guarantee the equal working rights of female workers. Encouraging employers and creating regular working conditions. At the same time, they can enjoy the benefits of the law on social insurance, maternity benefits, and unemployment insurance. In addition, not to be fired or unilaterally terminate the labor contract during pregnancy, maternity leave, or raising children under 12 months old.
Therefore, don’t think that women are happier than men. Women have to suffer a lot and make many sacrifices.
